Wood Rocking Horse

I dare say most of us admire a handmade rocking horse. The wood on this little guy is so smooth you just have to touch! What a fun mane and big eyes.

Of course, I wanted this cousin to make some of these for my online store. Imagine my shock when I learned he was now 70. :)

Oh time gets away from us too fast. These wonderful craftsmen tire of all this work - an opportunity has come and gone.

Think twice before you walk away from an opportunity to purchase something from these wonderful people who labor with their hands. Their crafts become priceless heirlooms quicker than expected sometimes.

P.S. I am overwhelmed with everything going on in my life right now. Next week I will be without a computer. I need a couple of weeks off. I will miss reading your blogs and will get back to it as soon as I can. I also have a blog award I want to share with some of you. I will be back in a couple of weeks.

What a beautiful little rocking horse, and you are right about things like this becoming priceless heirlooms. And take all the time off from blogging that you need. As enjoyable as blogging is it can be time consuming, and life definitely comes first.

The little rocking horse is so cute. I remember growing up with a wooden rocking horse in our house. Everybody said it was Tommy's rocking horse. I always wondered why he had one and I did not. About 2 weeks ago my Mother mentioned the horse and wondered what had happened to it. I still didn't ask why Tommy had one and nobody else did. (There are 5 of us).
