Finally - done making Christmas cards

I am certainly behind the 8-ball this year! I am just now getting done with making my Christmas cards. I decided to go simple and easy this year.

This red card was made easy by using a die-cut to cut the snowflake. I used silver card stock to create the silver border, a silver star brad, then a strip of silver ribbon. Silver does not photo copy well, but you get the idea.

This is very unusual for me - I am not overly fond of green, but the new 'funky' green seemed kind of spunky and I just had to give it a try.

I embossed Mary and Baby Jesus with white embossing powder. My paper was too cold and warped really bad, so the card has spent more than 24 hours under a pile of books!

I decided a white ribbon would detract from the beauty simplicity of this card. What do you think?

Oh, both cards were sprayed with a special shimmer which does not show. That was fun, until I put on too much spray and ran the ink. Nothing like having to redo a couple cards. Live and learn!

I think they are both beautiful! I really like them both, but I think I like the green one best. Of course, green is my favorite color, so that may play into it. You did a very nice job on them. I'm lucky to just get cards sent out, let alone making them myself.
