Cardinal Quilt

This quilt is made by my sister, Leora. She has been selected to enter her winning quilts into the national competition. What an honor. When there, she said many of the winning quilts were very abstract. I prefer a quilt where I know what I am looking at!

These cardinals are tucked behind the black quilt strips which create a window pane. The cardinal outside the window pane has been hand appliqued in place.

It is wall hanging size and perfect for your January decor if you are tired of snowmen.

How exciting for your sister to be in the national competition. Her quilt is beautiful, and I agree that I like to know what I'm lookign at, both in quilts and artwork.
