Snowman Quilt

Nothing like a few snowmen to brighten up a dark winter day. These little guys hang so cheerfully with January decor.

I find that I like to use a section of wall for monthly decor, that is not a part of my regular decor. Often, monthly decor has color themes which are difficult to blend with the rest of the home. A separate niche can make it possible for you to use some trendy or treasured items.

If your make your own quilts, any color theme is possible. If you don't, create a special spot and have fun.

What a wonderful family of snowmen and I'm sure they bring a warmth in your home that only they can. Have a fun day Connie!

Snowmen are my decor of choice in January. There is currently a wooden one hanging by my front door. You have changed the look of the blog, haven't you?

Paula, I took away the header photo because I - gave up trying? Left my blog kind of blah - still searching for what I really want to do.

Good idea to have a seasonal spot. I like to keep a changing display, too, but you're right that they don't always blend in.

One of my friends keeps her little snowman quilt up all year because she likes it so much--I wish I could make/find her a Spring and Summer one that she likes as well!

Best wishes to you this year, Connie.

The snowman quilt is delightful and I like the idea of having a spot for monthly decor. I think I just need to have a spot to change out wallhangings because we keep getting new photos, prints, etc., and I have also been making small wall quilts. We are running out of wall space.....

I usually put up some of my snowmen with Christmas decorations and add to them in January. I missed them this year. Maybe I'll have things back together by next year.
